About

Disability Support Options is not for profit charity that was founded in 2017 by a group of passionate disability support workers with aim of improving the lives of people with a disability including people of CALD who face numerous barriers to integrate into the mainstream community.

Disability Support Options provides long-term, mid-term, and short-term accommodations with 24-hour support. Additionally, our Andrews Farms centre offers recreational and vocational activities for skill development.

We structure the Art program at our day option and recreational centre to operate as a social enterprise, In other words, revenue derived from the program’s activities is invested back into the program to increase its artistic and social outcomes. Furthermore, the sale and exhibition of artwork generate income that directly benefits the artist.

As a charity, Disability Support Options strives to improve the lives of vulnerable people, helping them become productive and accepted as valued members of the general community through teaching them useful skills, allowing them to access recreational and leisure activities and acquire homes of their own and enjoy life to the fullest just like everyone else.

Moreover, At Disability Support Options, we also recognize the importance of collaboration. By working closely with community partners and local organizations, we enhance the support we offer. Consequently our dedicated volunteers play an essential role in providing personalized care, helping participants achieve their goals. Through these partnerships, we expand our reach and improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. By fostering an inclusive environment and supporting each person’s unique needs, we help them thrive and integrate into the community with confidence and dignity.

Thus we therefore rely on the support from our volunteers, staff and working partners from the diverse ethnic communities.
